Lauren Kyle, MD
Dr. Kyle is a native of Johnson County, KS and a mother of three. After completing her undergraduate work at the University of Kansas, she attended medical school at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha. She graduated in the top of her class, achieving Alpha Omega Alpha honors. Dr. Kyle then spent four years in dermatology residency training at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. There, she served as chief resident and trained in adult, pediatric, cosmetic, and surgical dermatology as well as dermatopathology. Upon completion of residency, Dr. Kyle returned home to Johnson County and began serving her hometown community.
Dr. Kyle is certified by the American Board of Dermatology and fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. Dr. Kyle has years of experience in both clinical dermatology and cosmetics. Her mission is to provide personalized, high-quality care on an as-needed or preventative basis. Our board-certified staff always consult with the attending physician prior to working with each patient in order to provide informed, consistent care at all times.
Whitney Fancher, MD, FAAD, FACMS
Dr. Fancher is a fellowship-trained, double board-certified dermatologist and Mohs surgeon dedicated to providing compassionate, personalized care and patient education.
A Missouri native, Dr. Fancher earned her medical degree from the University of Missouri before completing her dermatology residency at the University of Illinois Chicago, where she served as Chief Resident. She then completed specialized fellowship training in Mohs micrographic surgery and skin cancer treatment at the University of Wisconsin, the birthplace of the Mohs surgical technique. Dr. Fancher is also a third-generation trainee of Dr. Frederic Mohs, who developed the procedure.
With more than seven years of practice experience, Dr. Fancher has performed over 10,000 Mohs surgeries and thousands of skin cancer excisions. She is passionate about helping patients achieve the best possible outcomes through expert care and advanced treatment techniques.
Outside of work, Dr. Fancher enjoys spending time with her husband, two daughters, family and friends. She also loves running, hiking, traveling, and exploring new restaurants.
Mitchell Gibbons, MD
Dr. Gibbons is a native Missourian. He completed medical training at Saint Louis University School of Medicine, graduating top of his class, achieving Alpha Omega Alpha honors and producing over 20 scientific papers and presentations. He served as a chief resident at the University of Iowa. He has received world class training in general, pediatric, and surgical dermatology with an emphasis on special populations such as veterans and underserved rural communities. Dr. Gibbons approaches each visit with the desire to understand not only the underlying disease process but the values of each individual in order to tailor treatment to meet their unique needs.
He takes interest in a myriad of skin diseases including psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, autoimmune disease, and blistering skin diseases such as bullous pemphigoid. Beyond the clinic, he enthusiastically supports Chiefs football, enjoys weightlifting, and reading. Dedicated to family, he enjoys spending time with his wife, a devoted pediatrician, and daughter Charlotte.
Korey Walter, FNP-C
Korey is a nationally board certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She is from Saint Louis, Missouri, but calls Kansas City home. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Arkansas and her Master of Science in Nursing and Family Nurse Practitioner degree from Maryville University in St. Louis, graduating with academic honors. She is also an active member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.
Korey brings a well-rounded clinical background to her patients having begun her career in emergency medicine and critical care before transitioning into dermatology. She first joined Blue Valley Dermatology as a Registered Nurse, where she trained under Dr. Lauren Kyle before advancing into her current role as a Nurse Practitioner.
Dana Dickson, PA-C
Dana is a nationally board-certified Physician Assistant and is licensed by the Kansas State Board of Healing Arts. She is originally from a small town just outside of Dallas, Texas. Dana received her bachelor's degree from Texas A&M University in 2010. Shortly after graduating, she began working in both medical and cosmetic dermatology and it wasn't long before she realized that she wanted to further her education, specifically in dermatology. Dana went on to complete a Master's of Physician Assistant Studies degree at Western University of Health Sciences in California. She is an active member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, the Kansas Academy of Physician Assistants as well as the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants.
Bridget Stillwell, APRN-C
Bridget is a licensed and board-certified nurse practitioner with the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She completed her undergraduate and graduate education with Research College of Nursing in Kansas City, Missouri. Bridget accomplished her Masters of Science in Nursing and Family Nurse Practitioner program with Academic Excellence. She is licensed in both Kansas and Missouri. She has been in practice since 2015 and has treated ages across the entire lifespan. Bridget is a member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, Kansas State Nurses Association, American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine and serves on the Basser Center for BRCA young advisory board.
Vanessa Johnson, PA-C
Vanessa, born and raised in Kansas, and has been a nationally board-certified, state licensed, Physician Associate since 2008. She completed her master's degree in physician assistant studies at Missouri State University and received her undergraduate degree in Human Biology from the University of Kansas. Vanessa has been practicing in dermatology since 2009 and has also worked in general pediatrics for nearly 7 years and part-time in urgent care. She was a NCAA Division II collegiate soccer player, earned All MIAA second team and was on academic honor roll. She is an active member of the Kansas City Dermatology Society since 2009 and a fellow member of the Dermatology Society of Physician Associates. Vanessa enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, watching and playing sports.
Amber Bischoff, MPAS, PA-C
Amber is a board-certified Physician Associate specializing in dermatology. Originally from Omaha, she is excited to return to the Midwest and practice in the Kansas City area after practicing in Oregon for several years. She earned her undergraduate degree from Creighton University and completed her Master of Physician Assistant Studies at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, where she was awarded a Regent Scholarship. She is a Diplomate Fellow of the Society of Dermatology Physician Associates (SDPA) and was selected as an SDPA Emerging Scholar for the 2025 Summer Conference.
Amber has experience in medical, surgical, and Mohs dermatology which allows her to provide comprehensive care across a wide range of skin conditions. She is passionate about delivering individualized, patient-centered care and takes a whole-person approach when developing treatment plans.
When she's not taking care of patients, Amber enjoys being a mother, spending time with her family, traveling, reading, and pursuing her interest in photography.
Katherine Parks, FNP-BC
Kate (Katherine) Parks is a nationally board-certified Nurse Practitioner with American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and licensed by the states of Kansas, Missouri and New York. Graduating with honors, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Syracuse University and practiced as a Registered Nurse in Critical Care and Emergency Medicine. She obtained her Master of Science in Family Practice Nursing at SUNY Upstate Medical University in 2007, and in 2009 she transitioned to dermatology as a Nurse Practitioner where she has specialized in both medical and aesthetic dermatology. With over 15 years of experience in medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatology, she is passionate about treating a wide range of skin conditions across the lifespan. Kate has additional expertise and interest in cosmetic procedures and services such as Botox and dermal fillers, helping patients achieve natural, rejuvenated results that enhance their confidence and beauty.
When not caring for patients, Kate loves time with family, friends and her church community. Kate enjoys traveling, hiking, running, skiing, boating, and cheering on her kids in youth sports.
Haley Howard, LME, CLT
Medical Aesthetician
Haley is a Licensed Medical Aesthetician and Certified Laser Technician. She attended Bellus Academy in Manhattan, KS in 2012 for her aesthetics license. Then attended the National Laser Institute in Dallas, TX where she obtained her laser certification. She also received her cosmetology license prior to aesthetics. Haley specializes in customizing Skin Health Programs for her patients. She treats a wide variety of skin concerns, and of all skin types. She loves boosting the confidence of each of her patients and improving the health of their skin.
Ashly Boehm, LME
Medical Aesthetician
Ashly is a Licensed Medical Aesthetician who is passionate about helping her patients feel confident in their skin through personalized, result-driven treatments. She trained at The Skn Academy in Shawnee, KS and attended Johnson County Community College in Overland Park, KS. She treats a wide range of skin types and concerns and believes the best results come from listening to her patients and creating customized treatment plans that fit their goals. The favorite part of her career is seeing the confidence her patients gain back after treatments. When not in the treatment room, Ashly enjoys being outdoors, visiting with family, and traveling with her husband.
